Challenges for the Project
The cargo volume of directly-passing commodities is large, and the supply of suppliers is concentrated. The warehouse has complicated on-site terrain, with a low degree of automation, standardization and informatization and a relatively high work intensity. The previous manual sorting operation was time-consuming and labor-intensive, with low efficiency
Solution
In this project, Damon has equipped Suning with a set of cross-belt sorting system with relatively high processing capacities in China. With a sorting conveyor line of 300 meters and the design concept of special subarea import, the cross-belt sorters can sort up to 30,000 pieces/hour. Moreover, the system is equipped with manual loading ports, 146 package-disassembling chutes, 45 whole-piece off-site chutes and 64 whole-piece intra-city chutes, as well as video complement and emergency stop devices and other automated equipment, so as to realize the automated sorting of items
Application Effects
After nearly a year of preparation and construction by the Suning and Damon teams, the logistics center of Suning Yuncang (Cloud Warehouse) in Shanghai upgraded its automated system. After the second phase of the project was put into production, the warehouse achieved fully automated sorting, which significantly improved the operation efficiency, reduced the manpower by 90% of sorting personnel, and enhanced labor efficiency by 30-50%. During the Double 11 event, Suning's Shanghai Warehouse also provided logistics services for Tmall and Cainiao, with a cumulative shipment amount of more than 10 million pieces

It is the first choice for the sale of fashion brands. The upgrading project of its D11 logistics center covers an area of nearly 280,000 square meters, which provides online commodity identification and warehouse logistics services for Dewu supply chain business.
Challenges for the Project
There are a lot of warehouse logistics parts in the spot mode of Dewu Supply Chain, which is mainly made up of consignment sales to warehouse and brand business. And the reverse links are very complicated. Dewu attaches great importance to the timely performance of orders, in order to carefully manage the efficiency and cost of "people, goods, warehouses and vehicles". Dewu puts forward higher requirements for the system flux of the logistics center and the stability of core equipment.
Solution
INearly 5km of i-G5 Conveying Line and 12 sets of Spiral Lifts are deployed in place of steps through the whole process of "receiving-quality inspection-identification-carton change for consignment sales -packaging-delivery" to reduce the intensity of manual work, so as to achieve cross-floor transportation and cross-warehouse connection. Damon Cross Belt Sorter is in the shape of ”8” to improve space utilization. The sorter is equipped with visual cameras to read the codes accurately, which provides a reliable guarantee for its return business.
Application Effects
The operation speed of i-G5 main conveying line is 120 m/min. The goods handling capacity of the system can be up to 3,000+pcs/h. The sorting efficiency of the system reaches 10,000+pcs/h, and the sorting accuracy is up to 99.999%. This intelligent conveying and sorting system can support up to 200,000 footwear orders every day, and can meet the demand for efficient delivery of 250,000 orders per day during peak times.
